Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut mozzarella cheese into sticks, approximately 3 inches long.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, a second with beaten eggs, and a third with breadcrumbs.
  3. In the bowl of flour, add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Dredge each cheese stick in the seasoned flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Freeze the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a fryer or deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Gently drop a few frozen mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with marinara sauce.

Notes

For an extra-crispy coating, consider double-dipping in the egg and breadcrumbs. Monitor the oil temperature for consistent frying to prevent burning.
