Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium medium-sized potatoes (preferably russet or Yukon gold)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil for a luscious coating
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) because we can’t have too much garlic!
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese for that irresistible cheesy crust
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for an extra punch
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder to enhance the flavor
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika optional, but it adds a wonderful depth
  • Salt and pepper to taste essential for seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped) for garnish to elevate the presentation

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing your medium-sized potatoes until they sparkle. Cut each potato into wedges, about 8 per potato.
  2. Soak the wedges in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes to ensure they become tender and crispier during cooking. Drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the soaked wedges in this seasoned mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the seasoned wedges and toss again to ensure every wedge is covered.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the wedges in the fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Once golden and crisp, garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For lighter options, consider using sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes, avocado oil instead of olive oil, or nutritional yeast as a dairy-free alternative. Ensure to keep an eye on the air fryer to prevent overbaking.
