Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced For tenderness.

  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce Adds depth without overwhelming saltiness.

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated For a touch of spice.
For the Coleslaw
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix Combining cabbage and carrots.
  • 2 pieces green onions, thinly sliced For mild onion flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Adds a tangy punch.
  • 1 teaspoon honey Balances out the acidity.
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil Reinforces the nutty flavor.
For the Tacos
  • 12 pieces wonton wrappers Essential for the crispy taco shell.
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce For drizzling and adding spice.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro Adds freshness.
  • 1/2 cup oil for frying Use vegetable or canola oil.

Method
 

Marinate the Chicken
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the thinly sliced chicken breasts with teriyaki sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Toss until well-coated and marinate for 10 minutes.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the marinated chicken and cook for approximately 5-7 minutes until no pink remains. Stir occasionally for even cooking.
Prepare the Coleslaw
  1. In another bowl, mix coleslaw, sliced green onions, rice vinegar, honey, and remaining sesame oil. Toss to coat the veggies.
Fry the Wonton Wrappers
  1. Heat oil in a skillet to medium-high. Fry wonton wrappers for 20-30 seconds on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Assemble Your Tacos
  1. Fill each crispy wonton shell with cooked chicken and top with coleslaw. Drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped cilantro over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double frying the wonton wrappers. You can also add sliced avocado or diced bell pepper to the coleslaw.
