Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheese, sour cream, salsa, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well mixed.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of each tortilla and roll it up tightly, placing seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Continue until all tortillas and filling are used.
- Lightly spray or brush the taquitos with cooking spray or oil.
Cooking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or air fry for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through if using an air fryer.
- Serve hot with additional salsa or your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For added freshness, consider mixing in chopped cilantro or green onions into the filling. Warm tortillas in a skillet for easier rolling. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to three months if wrapped tightly.
