Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound chicken tenders succulent and tender
For the Coatings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for that essential coating
  • 2 large eggs providing a rich binding agent
  • 2 tablespoons water to thin the egg mixture
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs ensuring a light and crispy crunch
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese adding a delicious salty flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for that aromatic essence
  • 1 teaspoon paprika giving a gentle warmth and color
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to enhance the flavors
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper adding a hint of spice
  • as needed cooking oil spray for a light, crispy finish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking oil.
  3. Set up a dredging station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs with water in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
  4. Coat each chicken tender by dredging it first in flour, then dipping it into the egg mixture, and finally the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spread out for even cooking, and lightly spray the tops with cooking oil.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown, turning the chicken tenders halfway through baking.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate chicken tenders in a mixture of yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for an hour before breading. Consider air frying for a healthier option. Serve with dipping sauces like honey mustard or ranch.
