  • 10-12 pieces egg roll wrappers Thin and crispy sheets that form the base.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened The heart and soul of the cheesecake filling.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Sweetens the filling to perfection.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the overall taste.
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling Adds a burst of flavor.
  • as needed spray cooking spray Ensures the rolls get crispy.
  • as needed none powdered sugar (for dusting, optional) Adds sweetness to your presentation.
  • as needed none melted chocolate (for drizzling, optional) Adds a sumptuous finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer until it’s smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, mixing until well-blended.
Assembly
  1. Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Spoon about one tablespoon of cheesecake mixture into the center of each wrapper, followed by a scoop of cherry pie filling.
  3. Fold the sides of the wrapper in and roll tightly, sealing edges with a little water.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and coat it with cooking spray.
  2. In batches, fry the assembled rolls for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Remove the rolls from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  2. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.

Notes

Chill the filling for 15-20 minutes for easier assembly. Try different pie fillings for variety.
