  • 1 cup milk for achieving that creamy consistency.
Vegetables and Seasonings

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced adding an aromatic punch.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning brings a hint of herby warmth.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste for bringing all the flavors together.
Cooking Fats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil to sauté your onion and beef.
Garnish

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook per the package instructions until it reaches al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Cooking the Beef
  1. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, approximately 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Making the Creamy Sauce
  1. To the skillet, add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smoothly combined.
  2. Add the cubed Velveeta cheese and stir continuously until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining and Serving
  1. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the creamy beef and cheese sauce mixture. Stir gently to combine and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  2. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving hot.

Notes

For optimal results, consider using other creamy cheeses like Colby Jack or cheddar. You can also add veggies like bell peppers or spinach during the sautéing phase for added nutrition. This dish is great for leftovers; just reheat with a splash of milk if it thickens.
