  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer cookies, crushed Adds crunch and chocolaty sweetness.
For coating
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder For dusting the truffles.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a separate dish, mix the cooled brewed espresso or strong coffee with coffee liqueur.
  3. Gradually fold in the crushed chocolate wafer cookies into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Dip each ball into the coffee mixture for a couple of seconds, then roll them in cocoa powder until fully coated.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate, pressing lightly to adhere.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
  8. Serve chilled and enjoy the creamy delight.
