Preparation
- In a big bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping.
- Slice the bananas to a medium thickness, not too thin and not chunky.
Layering
- In a serving dish, layer the vanilla cookies, followed by banana slices, then the pudding mix.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the remaining whipped topping on top.
- Stash the dish in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Notes
To keep bananas fresh, ensure they are fully covered with pudding to prevent browning. You can also add crushed nuts or berries for toppings if desired. Best served chilled.
