Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix with the whole or almond milk until smooth. Allow to thicken in the refrigerator for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gradually add sugar until stiff peaks are achieved.
Assembly
  1. In a trifle dish, layer the ladyfingers at the bottom, laying them side by side.
  2. Spoon half of the cranberry sauce over the ladyfingers, allowing them to soak up the tartness.
  3. Add half of the pudding mixture on top of the cranberry layer, smoothing it out evenly and sprinkling orange zest over it.
  4. Repeat the layering process with remaining ladyfingers, cranberry sauce, and pudding mixture.
  5. Top the trifle with a layer of whipped cream and garnish with slices of fresh oranges.
Final Steps
