  • 1 loaf sourdough bread, crusty and fresh Sliced into 1-inch thick pieces
  • 1 cup dried cranberries Sweet and tart
  • 8 oz softened goat cheese Creamy and tangy
  • 2 tablespoons honey Golden and luscious
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped Fragrant and herbaceous
  • 2 tablespoons high-quality olive oil Rich and flavorful

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the sourdough bread into one-inch-thick pieces and arrange them neatly on a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened goat cheese with the dried cranberries and fresh herbs; mix until well incorporated.
  4. Generously spread the cranberry-goat cheese mixture over each slice of bread.
  5. Drizzle honey over each slice.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese mixture is bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the sourdough slices before adding the cheese mixture, or add walnuts or pecans for crunch. You can also use a grill pan to impart a lovely char.
