Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then gradually add the milk, mixing until smooth.
- Mix in the cotton candy flavoring until well combined.
- Fill the cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter.
Baking
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting and decorating with cotton candy.
Notes
To ensure even baking, rotate the cupcake tin halfway through the baking time. Consider making a cotton candy-flavored frosting for added sweetness. Experiment with food coloring for a fun look.
