Preparation
  1. Chill your ice cream maker bowl in the freezer for at least 24 hours to ensure it churns effectively.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and blue food coloring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
Churning
  1. Transfer the mixture to your chilled ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes, until you achieve a soft-serve consistency.
  2. During the last five minutes of churning, gradually add the chocolate chip cookie dough chunks and crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, ensuring even distribution.
Freezing
  1. Scoop the ice cream into a freezer-safe container and press parchment paper or plastic wrap on the surface to prevent ice crystals.
  2. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm, before serving.
