  • 1 cup milk Use your favorite type of milk
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon Add more to taste

  • 8 slices thick bread Brioche or day-old bread works best
  • 2 tablespoons butter For frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, crack the eggs and whisk with the milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure they soak up the mixture without becoming soggy.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
Cooking
  1. Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 5 to 7 minutes total.
  2. Flip carefully to avoid breaking the bread.
  3. Remove from skillet and keep warm in the oven if cooking in batches.

Notes
