  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the creamy Greek yogurt, applesauce, eggs, milk or buttermilk, vanilla extract, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt into the wet mixture and whisk gently.
  4. Fold in the whole wheat flour and chopped apples until just incorporated.
  5. Fill the muffin tin evenly with the batter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow muffins to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
