Ingredients
  

Cupcake Ingredients
  • 1 box vanilla cupcake mix Use a standard boxed mix.
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil Can be replaced by melted coconut oil.
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp green food coloring For adding festive color.
Frosting Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) Ensure butter is at room temperature.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp green food coloring Additional for frosting.
  • 1/4 cup white frosting or powdered sugar For decorating.
Decorations
  • 1 cup red sprinkles or mini M&Ms
  • 1 cup mini star sprinkles For topping the cupcakes.
  • 1/4 cup red & gold sprinkles For added decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with festive cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cupcake mix according to the package instructions, adding green food coloring to the batter.
  3. Fill the liners about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, gradually adding the powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add milk and vanilla extract, and mix well. Divide frosting into two portions; dye one portion green and leave the other white.
Assembly
  1. Arrange the cooled cupcakes on a platter in a wreath shape. Frost the tops with green frosting.
  2. Decorate with red sprinkles and mini M&Ms, and top with mini star sprinkles.
  3. Pipe white frosting around the edges for a snowy effect and sprinkle with gold decoration.

Notes

Ensure cupcakes cool completely before frosting to prevent melting. Consider adding a teaspoon of almond extract for extra flavor and experimenting with sprinkle colors and edible glitter.
