Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 box Brownie Mix Use any additional ingredients specified on the box.
  • 3/4 cup Butter, Softened Approximately 1 1/2 sticks.
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt Balances the sweetness.
Frosting
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar For the sweet buttercream frosting.
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract Adds depth to the flavor.
  • 2 Tbsp Heavy Cream To create a smooth consistency.
  • 1 drop Green Food Coloring To achieve a festive look.
Decorations
  • 6 pieces Candy Canes Cut into three-inch pieces for tree trunks.
  • 1 cup Sprinkles For a colorful ornament touch.
Others
  • 1 can Cooking Spray To prevent sticking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving a two-inch overhang.
  2. Lightly grease the parchment with cooking spray.
  3. Prepare the brownie mix according to the box directions and pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake the brownies for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
Frosting Preparation
  1. In a large bowl or using a stand mixer, beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until just combined.
  3. Add vanilla extract, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt, mixing until smooth.
  4. Incorporate green food coloring into the frosting to achieve your desired shade.
  5. Transfer the frosting into a piping bag fitted with a small open star tip.
Assembly
  1. Once the brownies are fully cooled, remove them from the pan and slice into three long rows, cutting each into six triangles.
  2. Insert candy cane pieces into each brownie triangle to create tree trunks.
  3. Pipe a zigzagging line of green frosting on top of each brownie triangle and finish with colorful sprinkles.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in a teaspoon of peppermint extract or use cream cheese frosting instead of buttercream. Store any leftovers in an airtight container, at room temperature for up to three days, or freeze for a month wrapped in plastic.
