  • 1 cup protein powder Vanilla flavor recommended
  • 1 cup flour All-purpose or alternative can be used
  • 1 tbsp baking powder Essential for fluffiness
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flax egg or applesauce
  • 1 cup milk Dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup Can substitute with coconut sugar
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet recommended

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the protein powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  2. Add in the eggs, milk, and maple syrup. Whisk until mostly smooth, leaving a few lumps.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and lightly coat with oil.
  2. Pour the batter onto the pan by the scoop.
  3. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  4. Serve immediately stacked high.

Notes

Avoid over-mixing the batter to prevent flat pancakes. Use non-stick spray to ensure perfect cooking.
