Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 2 pounds ground beef Hearty protein base.
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced Adds sweetness and depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Flavor booster.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic touch.
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) cream of mushroom soup Provides creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds richness and tanginess.
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded For ooey-gooey texture.
Biscuit Topping
  • 1 package Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix Star ingredient for flavor.
  • 1 cup water To bring the biscuit mix together.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted For golden finish.
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions until there’s no pink remaining. Drain any excess grease.
  4. Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well.
  5. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
  6. Scoop the biscuit mixture on top of the meat mixture in 5-6 dollops.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the biscuits are cooked through.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with Cheddar Bay Garlic Herb Blend and brush it over the freshly baked biscuits.
Serving
  1. Allow to cool slightly, then serve hot.

Notes

For variations, mix in vegetables for added nutrition or use different cheese types for a unique twist. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
