Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions until there’s no pink remaining. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
- Scoop the biscuit mixture on top of the meat mixture in 5-6 dollops.
Baking
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the biscuits are cooked through.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter with Cheddar Bay Garlic Herb Blend and brush it over the freshly baked biscuits.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve hot.
Notes
For variations, mix in vegetables for added nutrition or use different cheese types for a unique twist. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
