  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed before use.
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced Sliced into small pieces.
  • 1 medium apple, thinly sliced Use a variety like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce For drizzling.
  • 1 each egg, beaten Used for egg wash.
  • to taste none powdered sugar Optional, for dusting.
  • to taste none fresh rosemary sprigs Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a clean surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut it into triangles.
  3. Arrange the puff pastry triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
Assembly
  1. Layer each triangle with slices of Brie cheese and then thin apple slices.
  2. Drizzle caramel sauce over the layered filling.
  3. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  2. Allow tartlets to cool, then dust with powdered sugar and garnish with rosemary.

Notes

For extra shine, ensure the egg wash covers the entire edge of the pastry. Make your own caramel sauce for a unique touch. Try different apple varieties for enhanced flavor. Consider adding spices like cinnamon before baking.
