Method
For the British Bangers
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the sausages on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the bite-sized pieces of steak to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
- Lower the heat to medium and add in the butter and minced garlic. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh parsley. Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
- Boil the baby potatoes in a large pot of salted water for 15 minutes, or until tender.
- Preheat your oven this time to 400°F (200°C).
- Drain the potatoes and place them on a baking sheet. Gently smash each potato.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives.
- Return to the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Consider experimenting with different fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary. Pre-cooked sausages can save time. Add other vegetables like carrots or brussels sprouts for added nutrition.
