  • 1 pound ground beef (85/15)
  • 0.5 large yellow onion, grated
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely grate the onion, mince the garlic, and chop the fresh parsley.
Combining
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, chopped parsley, minced garlic, ground cumin, allspice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shaping
  1. Divide the meat mixture into even portions and mold each portion around skewers to form elongated kebabs.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the skewers on the grill or skillet and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.
Serving
  1. Remove the kebabs from heat and let them rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, brush kebabs with olive oil or a marinade while cooking. Try adding cayenne for heat or mint for freshness.
