Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and adjust the rack to the top third of the oven.
- Cut the French bread in half horizontally for uniform cooking.
- Place the halves on a baking sheet and spread softened butter evenly on the cut sides.

- Remove from oven and spread BBQ sauce over each half.
- Top with chicken, red onions, jalapenos, mozzarella, and smoked gouda.
Cooking
- Bake for 12 minutes, then switch to broil for a few minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Add cilantro on top after cooking, slice, and enjoy.
