Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the ripe pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core and seeds to create a small cavity.
- Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
- Brush the cut sides of each pear half with olive oil and drizzle honey over them.
- Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper on top of the pears.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Immediately sprinkle crumbled feta cheese and dried cranberries on each warm pear half.
- Garnish with fresh thyme leaves and drizzle with more honey if desired.
Notes
These baked pears make a stunning appetizer or side dish. Pair with a light salad or serve warm as a dessert with Greek yogurt or ice cream.
