Coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until evenly combined.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  3. Once chilled, shape the mixture into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Breading and Cooking
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg until fully beaten. Dip each mac and cheese ball into the egg mixture.
  2. Roll the egg-coated balls into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully covered.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Lightly grease the basket with butter.
  4. Place the mac and cheese balls in the basket, ensuring space between them. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the mac and cheese balls from the air fryer and serve warm.
