  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for heat
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Chopped for garnish
  • sufficient cooking spray or oil For air frying

Method

Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken tenderloins in buttermilk for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs and prepare for the chicken.
  4. After marinating, remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Dredge the tenderloins in the flour mixture before dipping them back into the buttermilk, and coat in the breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  3. Place the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer, and spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Air fry the chicken tenders for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. And enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard or ranch.
