- 1 box (approximately 430 g) angel food or yellow cake mix
- 1 can (425 g) lemon pie filling
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the angel food or yellow cake mix with the lemon pie filling until smooth and glossy.
- Grease a 33 x 23 cm baking dish with nonstick spray or oil.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is golden and the center sets.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, then slice into squares and serve.
Notes
To make a healthier version, use a low-sugar angel food cake mix or ensure your ingredients are dairy-free.
