Description

Indulge in tender steak cubes and perfectly roasted baby potatoes, all swimming in a luscious garlic butter sauce for a comforting dining experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak cubes generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak cubes to the pan and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the halved potatoes, cooking until golden brown and tender, approximately 10-12 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter, garlic, thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Stir to coat the potatoes.
  6. Return the steak cubes to the skillet along with the remaining butter, tossing everything until well coated.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, use lean cuts of beef, sweet potatoes, and incorporate greens like spinach.
