Description

Succulent salmon fillets enveloped in a rich, aromatic garlic butter slather, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, parsley, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure a delightful sear.
  5. Generously season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  6. Heat olive oil and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets, and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning the garlic butter over the top towards the end.
  9. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
