Description

Delightful, colorful Easter Blossom Cookies that combine buttery softness with a crunchy exterior, topped with classic Hershey’s Kisses.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling
  • Food coloring (pink, blue, yellow, green)
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
  • Optional colored sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract, followed by the eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Divide the dough into four equal portions and add food coloring to each, kneading until colors are bright and uniform.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll each in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving ample space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into each cookie.
  10. Return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes, then let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack, adding sprinkles while still warm if desired.
